Ailaysa Projects makes your translation process easier by organising your workflow in the form of Projects, Jobs and Tasks.
Project
A project is the single complete component of a translation process. All files, languages, human editors, deadlines etc involved in a translation process are organised efficiently into a project.
The language in which your input file content is present is referred to as the source language, and the language(s) into which you want to translate is referred to as the target language(s). A project can have only one source language but one or more target languages.
Remember, if your translation requirement has multiple source languages, you must create a separate project for each source language.
Job
Each unique language pair (source language – target language) in a project is referred to as a Job.
For example, let us assume a project has English as the source language. And Telugu and Swedish as target languages.
Now you have two jobs:
- English –> Telugu
- English –> Swedish
Task
A task is a unique combination of a file and a job.
In the above-mentioned example, you have English as the source language and Telugu and Swedish as target languages. During project setup, let us assume you have uploaded two files -> bill_of_materials.xlsx and product_manual.docx.
There are two jobs:
- English –> Telugu
- English –> Swedish
and two files.
This leads to four tasks:
- Task 1 –> bill_of_materials.xlsx + English-Telugu.
- Task 2 –> product_manual.docx + English-Telugu.
- Task 3 –> bill_of_materials.xlsx + English-Swedish.
- Task 4 –> product_manual.docx + English-Swedish.
Tasks are created automatically during project setup based on the languages and files added.
